Talking Affordability! Jamestown, NY!

  • Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Jamestown (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

A good life seems to be getting harder and harder to afford for most Americans. Our small cities and towns in particular are struggling. Hospitals are closing, housing costs are out of reach for many, and good paying jobs are becoming scarce. Each town has its unique difficulties.

Let's have a Community Conversation. Come talk with your neighbors and about what concerns you most. Decide as a group what questions to ask Aaron Gies, the Democratic Candidate for Congress in NY 23. What economic worries does the Representative for Jamestown need to understand heading into Congress in January 2027.

Doors open at 6pm. Please promptly get a refreshment to take to a table where discussion will begin by 6:15pm.

More No Kings 3 Rallies in WNY

We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.

What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever.

When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.

On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

Bipartisan Town Hall - Orchard Park
Mar

Bipartisan Town Hall - Orchard Park

NY 23 needs a congressperson with a conscience. Not a rubber stamp for the President, which is what we have for our current leader.

Democrat Aaron Gies, a professor from Olean and Republican Jim King, an engineer from Owego, come together to discuss real representation for the district, starting with personal appearances. They are willing to do the real work around making life more affordable, opportunity more available and bringing back community pride. It starts with in person appearances all over the district. Answering questions from both sides of the aisle and everywhere in between. Trying to get all sides talking by presenting facts, not fiction, not hype.

If you are having any concerns or doubts about where the federal government, with Nick Langworthy's help, is taking America, come talk about it. As always Mr. Langworthy is invited but is unlikely to respond.

Doors open at 6:30 to meet candidates, sign in, submit questions and have a refreshment. Formal program will start at 7.
