Action 1: Join the League of Women Voters
Adapted from Rogan's List 6/16/26
In this time of persistent attacks on voting rights, it’s time to be in league with one of the longtime leaders in safeguarding them. Joining the nonpartisan, grassroots League of Women Voters is a great way to get involved in your community and play an active role in our democracy. They successfully register hundreds of thousands of voters annually and fight for fair districts, access to the ballot box, and getting money out of politics. Check out their interactive map here and find a local or state League to get involved with.

Action 2: Urge Citizens Bank to Stop Financing Core Civic and The GEO Group
Adapted from Rogan's List 4/15/26, Chop Wood Carry Water 6/22/26, and De-ICE Citizens Bank
The private prison and detention industry are making massive profits off ICE terrorizing our neighbors, and Citizens Bank is making it possible. They’ve provided more than half a billion dollars in financing each to CoreCivic and The GEO Group. And they don’t just do the loans: Citizens also arranges and coordinates complex credit and bond deals, giving them access to more than $2.5 billion, including $100 million in January 2026 alone.
Let’s take this action with De-ICE Citizens Bank to push that institution to stop financing GEO Group and Core Civic. This action was in their weekly email newsletter; you can find more actions like it on their website.
Note: we did a similar action the week of 4/19/26, but the letter has been updated and it's being sent to a different person.

Dear Mr. Aleali,
I am one of thousands watching to see if Citizens will do the right thing and end its financial relationships with CoreCivic and GEO Group (GEO), and commit publicly to never financing private immigration detention or prison companies again.
Citizens says it “engages with companies that conduct their business in a lawful manner.” CoreCivic and GEO have faced extensive allegations of human rights abuses and sit at the center of a detention system that has held thousands of children, including hundreds beyond court-prescribed limits. Just last week, New Jersey sued GEO for refusing to allow the state access to Delaney Hall to investigate allegations of medical neglect and unsanitary conditions.
Citizens is facing a choice between aligning its actions with its stated values or continuing down a path that will permanently link its brand to harmful detention practices. The clients you serve are themselves coming under growing scrutiny for where they bank, so I hope you’ll raise this issue internally.

Action 3: Justice Department Targets Protesters in Minnesota
From Rogan's List 6/17/26
The Trump Administration is using the full power of the state to punish those who dare stand up to them and stand up for our immigrant friends and neighbors. Their effort to silence protesters reached back into Minnesota recently, where the Justice Department charged 15 people with federal crimes including conspiracy to impede or injure a federal officer for organizing against the raids on their neighborhoods during Operation Metro Surge. (During a press conference, U.S. Attorney Daniel Rosen was asked if any agents were actually injured by the defendants and refused to answer the question, and a number of previous efforts by this same office to bring similar charges have been downgraded or dismissed.) Meanwhile, they continue to actively obstruct the investigations into the murders of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti.
The Twin Cities, as always, showed us the way, mobilizing folks to protest at the federal courthouse in St. Paul by the afternoon (where they were tear gassed and pepper sprayed). If you are able, consider making a donation to help them fight back.
A legal defense fund for the defendants has been set up here.
You can also contribute in their names to the National Lawyers Guild’s Minnesota Chapter to help them continue safeguarding freedom of speech and to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota to provide legal defense for those directly in ICE’s sights.
There are also multiple organizations providing legal representation to unaccompanied migrant children who have been targeted with raids in recent days, including the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights, Ayuda and Kids In Need of Defense.
