Action 1: Pride Month: How Allies Can Help Young People

From Rogan's List 6/15/26

The Trevor Project’s most recent national survey on the mental health of LGBTQ+ young people finds that LGBTQ+ people aged 13-24 are at higher risk of mental health challenges, including thoughts of suicide. The survey also found that suicide-attempt rates decrease when youth have access to supportive spaces and communities. That means there are some clear ways we can help. Take a look at the survey, and then learn what you can do to support LGBTQ+ youth—during Pride Month, and every month.

Action 2: No Corporate Raid on the Post Office

Adapted from Chop Wood Carry Water 6/12/26

The people in charge of our public Postal Service should understand America’s main street, not just Wall Street. But the Senate is poised to vote on the nominations of four USPS governors who would put corporate interests over our interests. Their backgrounds are in hedge funds, fintech and commodities trading. One of the nominees is a former waste management executive with a history of troubling business associations. They do not meet the basic statutory qualifications for USPS Board Governors.

At a time when small businesses and families are struggling to make ends meet and balance the books, the Postal Service is a vital lifeline. Right now, we need to secure the financial future of the Postal Service, improve service, and ensure it will deliver democracy by accepting every eligible voter’s ballot.

Action 3: Trump DOJ Allows Trump-aligned Billionaire to Seize Even More Control of News Media

From Rogan's List 6/15/26

Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire wasn’t the only victory for the oligarchs on Friday. We also saw Trump’s Justice Department, surprising no one, sign off on the proposed Paramount Skydance-Warner Brothers merger, insisting it would not hurt competition or the American consumer.

This would put one company, run by billionaire heir David Ellison, in control of CBS, CNN, HBO, Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers Pictures and Paramount Pictures. His father Larry leads the investor group that owns TikTokThe Ellisons are Trump-aligned and their leadership of Paramount has been marked by an ominous tilt in CBS News coverage towards MAGA. But even if they weren’t standing with the authoritarians, this would be a scary amount of control over our media by one corporation.

Fortunately, this is not the end of the road. Regulators in the UK and the European Union are still reviewing the deal, and Democratic state attorneys general led by California’s Rob Bonta have been investigating this merger. Now we need them to act quickly.

Contact your state attorney general and ask them to sue to stop this merger. Write your own script or use this one.

The merger between Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery will result in unprecedented control of media companies in the United States, endangering thousands of people’s jobs and our democracy. The Ellisons already own CBS and TikTok and should not be allowed to control CNN as well. The only reason this merger wasn’t dead on arrival is that the Ellisons are making deals with a corrupt president who wants to control what we see and hear. Please join with other state AGs to investigate and sue the DOJ over their decision to approve the merger. Thank you.
