Support the Dignity Act for Immigration Reform

Source: American Immigration Council

On July 15, a bipartisan group of legislators introduced the "DIGNIDAD (Dignity) Act" (H.R. 4393) which includes increased border security provisions but also provides a path to permanent legal status for undocumented residents who have been in the U.S. since 2020. The bill is far from perfect but it's a significant improvement over the system that's currently in place and would help to curb the damage being done by this administration. Learn more about the specific provisions of bill here.

Contact your House rep and urge them to support the Dignity Act. Write your own script or use the following:

I’m contacting Rep. [NAME] to urge [him/her] to support The DIGNIDAD (Dignity) Act (H.R. 4393). This bipartisan bill would provide some aspiring Americans with work authorization and protection from removal proceedings, countering some of the current administration's harmful policies. While it is not a perfect piece of legislation, I’m asking Rep. [NAME] to co-sponsor H.R. 4393 and help move this sweeping measure of immigration reform forward.

Western NY Residents: Uphold Tonawanda Seneca Nation Sovereignty and the CLCPA: No New NYS Funds or Permits to WNY STAMP

Courtesy of Allies of the Tonawanda Seneca Nation

Despite sustained and forceful opposition from the Tonawanda Seneca Nation and its allies, the Genesee County Economic Development Center (GCEDC) has begun construction of the Western New York Science and Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP) on 1,260 acres of wetlands, forested habitat and farmland. The proposed industrial mega-site lies adjacent to the Nation’s federally-recognized Reservation Territory, nestled among protected areas including the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, the Tonawanda Wildlife Management Area and the John White Wildlife Management Area.

Tonawanda Senecas and other people from across the Haudenosaunee Confederacy continue to hunt, fish and gather in the Nation’s “Big Woods,” an ecologically rich primary forest. Industrialization at STAMP thus threatens Haudenosaunee cultural practices as well as the Nation’s treaty-protected rights to clean water and to the free use and enjoyment of its homelands. Learn more in this 10-minute short documentary.

Despite more than 15 years of effort and more than 410 million dollars in taxpayer subsidies, there are only two fully confirmed tenants at STAMP: Edwards Vacuum, a dry pump vacuum manufacturer and Plug Power, a green-hydrogen manufacturer which suspended construction in 2023 and may never resume. In March 2025, GCEDC approved an additional $472 million in taxpayer subsidies for a 900,000 square-foot data center code-named “Project Double Reed.” The Nation and the Sierra Club are currently litigating to challenge GCEDC’s environmental review process of the data center.

STAMP violates New York’s historic Climate Leadership & Community Protection Act (CLCPA), which should safeguard against building polluting facilities near communities such as the Tonawanda Seneca Nation that already experience disproportionate pollution burdens. While minimal infrastructure has been built on the STAMP site, massive environmental harms have already occurred. STAMP is a profound environmental injustice for Nation citizens - AND for their neighbors.

We still have the power to stop this disaster: to protect our woods and waters and taxpayer dollars. NOW is the time for us all to Rethink STAMP. Let’s tell the site’s biggest backers, Governor Kathy Hochul & Senator Chuck Schumer.
