Modify shopping habits to help get money out of politics

Did you know that the average consumer funds politicians and PACs about 3 times more through their purchasing decisions as compared to their direct political contributions? Goods Unite Us is a non-partisan organization that "runs political background checks on thousands of brands and companies so you can put your money where your vote is. Goods Unite Us is about bringing more accountability and transparency to our political process. Look up the political giving of brands and companies and start making a difference today!"  https://www.goodsuniteus.com/

You can download their app or just search for products/companies on their website. Based on several objective criteria, each company is assigned a Campaign Finance Reform score from -100 (worst) to +100 (perfect) depending on how likely money spent on that company's products will lead to political influence. The score is based on 1. whether or not the company makes political donations and how much (the more they donate, the lower the score); 2. whether or not they donate to progressive individuals and PACs that are actively working to repeal or limit the impact of the Citizens United Supreme Court decision. The only companies that get a perfect score of 100 are ones that make no significant political donations. The table below shows the results from best to worst for large grocery store chains as an example.
