Action 1: URGENT - DO THIS ASAP: Oppose the CLARITY Act

From Rogan's List 7/29/26

Senate Majority Leader John Thune has promised a vote before they leave for recess at the end of next week on the Clarity Act, a crypto “regulation” bill that would do little to stop Trump, members of his family and his administration, or members of Congress themselves from profiting off this industry, even with new fig leaf ethics provisions backed by the White House. (Incredibly, they’re asking us to trust this Department of Justice to crack down on the president’s profiteering.)

The failure to address the blatant corruption happening before our eyes isn’t even the worst part of the Clarity Act. This legislation puts investors at greater risk by weakening safeguards, undercuts the SEC, and overrules state-level consumer fraud protections. It will be much harder for regulators to stop the next wave of fraud before people lose their money, and it hinders investigations into money-laundering. It lets billionaires and industry insiders write weaker rules for themselves while risky digital asset products get pushed further into the financial system, including into our pensions and retirement savings. In short: it’s great for the wealthy and terrible for the rest of us.

Thune will need the support of at least seven Democrats to break the filibuster to get this legislation to the floor. (Even if it passes, it would need to be reconciled with the House-passed version of the bill).

Follow this link to send a pre-scripted message to your senators telling them to oppose cloture for the Clarity Act: "All hands on deck" to pass the CLARITY Act crypto scam. Tell your Senators to filibuster and stop it now.

OR call your senators and use this script from 5 Calls:

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP]. I’m calling to urge [REP/SEN NAME] to oppose H.R. 3633, the House-passed Digital Market Asset Clarity Act. This bill puts American consumers and financial systems at risk, while continuing to enable Trump’s corrupt crypto schemes. Thank you.

Action 2: Congress Should Pass a Clean, Comprehensive Stock Trading Ban Bill

From Rogan's List 7/23/26

Regular Americans have made themselves clear: they’re tired of corruption from their politicians, and they want something done. Among the easiest and most common-sense steps we could take is a ban on stock trading by members of the government. This Republican-controlled Congress is messing around rather than trying to get it done.

The House recently voted 232-198 to pass a congressional stock trading ban for the first time. GOP leadership elected to add a poison pill, cramming in restrictive voter ID laws from the SAVE Act, rather than allowing it to move forward cleanly. They also deliberately pushed forward a less aggressive version of the legislation – while H.R. 7008 stops members of Congress and their immediate family from buying new individual stocks while in office, it doesn’t require them to divest from stocks they own now and does not address members of the executive branch at all.

Call or email your members of Congress and tell them to stop trying to score political points and bring a clean, comprehensive bill to the floor. Write your own script or use this one from 5 Calls:

I'm [calling/writing] to urge [REP/SEN NAME] to oppose House-passed H.R. 7008, the Stop Insider Trading Act. This bill is a weak attempt at banning congressional stock trading and includes restrictive voter ID language aimed at suppressing our voting rights. Thank you.

Action 3: No Ranked Choice Voting Ban For Presidential Primaries

From the Texas Progressive Caucus and Fair Vote Action

In June, the Rules and Bylaws Committee of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) added language to the 2028 delegate selection rules that effectively bans state parties from using Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) in their own presidential nominating processes. Twelve state parties have used ranked choice voting somewhere in that process over the last two cycles, and not one of them was invited to present before the vote.

This isn’t about whether you love RCV. It’s about whether the national party should strip states of a tool that’s working for them - a tool that more than doubled primary turnout in Wyoming and nearly quadrupled it in Kansas - at the same time that banning RCV sits on the Heritage Foundation’s priority list and inside Project 2025. Democrats should not be doing Republicans’ work for them.

There’s one chance to fix it: a vote of the full DNC membership in Austin on August 15. The fix is simple: strike the ban language and return the rules to what they’ve always been, with every state deciding for itself. No one would be required to use ranked choice voting; states would simply keep the right to choose. More information and details about the proposed change can be found here.

Here’s how you can help

  1. Contact your Democratic state party leadership and ask them to support removing the ban. Use this link to contact them in two easy steps

Pennsylvania Democrats are shooting for a trifecta in November by expanding
their majority in the state house and taking back the majority in the state senate.
This would allow Democrats to redraw congressional maps, raise the state's
minimum wage to $15/hr, and legalize marijuana. Shifts are available most days.

The Environmental Voter Project is a nonpartisan, nonprofit focused on identifying an estimated 11.2 million environmentalists who did not vote in the 2024 presidential election and efficiently converting them into a critical mass of consistent voters that will soon be too big for politicians to ignore.
