Action 1: Attend a No Kings 3 Rally on Saturday, March 28 and Bring a Friend

From Indivisible, "When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence. America does not belong to strongmen, greedy billionaires, or those who rule through fear. It belongs to us, the people."

Let's make No Kings 3 the largest protest in the history of the United States. In addition to attending a rally, try to bring someone new into the movement. So many people are desperate to get involved in the resistance but aren't sure how or are afraid to attend an event alone. All they need is an invitation from someone they trust.

In Western NY, find a protest near you at this link: https://www.organizeforactionwny.org/events

Action 2: A Boycott List To Demand ICE Out

From Rogan’s List 2/19/26

Pressuring Congress, protesting, and direct action are crucial to the fight against the unlawful activities of ICE. But we’re taking on oligarchs, and we all know what they care about most is their money. This goes far beyond Citizens Bank. Jess Craven and her team have prepared a full list of companies we can boycott to build pressure on corporations to align themselves against ICE terror, complete with contacts, scripts where appropriate, and alternative services we can use. Check out this resource here and put it to work. Save this link because the spreadsheet is continually updated.

Action 3: Ask the Members of the Amherst Town Board to Speak Out Against the Lawlessness and Injustice of the Trump Administration

Please read the following Letter to the Editor by Robert McLennan that was recently published in the Amherst Bee. The letter includes the action which is to send a message to town board members along with the members' contact info.

I submitted a resolution to the Amherst Town Board asking them to speak out against the Trump administration, as national policies, including the reduction of SNAP benefits, the increase of health insurance costs and bringing ICE into our communities, affect us all.   I am very disappointed with the Town Board’s lack of any response.

I spoke on this issue during the Public Expression period of the February 23rdmeeting, with support from Congressman Tim Kennedy and others.  My resolution focused on a wide range of outrages of the Trump administration, the do-nothing Congress and the corrupt Supreme Court that have allowed Trump to get away with murder.

However, the members of the town board have decided to do nothing and say nothing.  They refused to support my resolution, come up with one of their own, or even comment on the issue, unlike Cheektowaga, where a resolution was passed blocking the town from funding or supporting ICE operations.

The government closest to the people is the local town board. They’ve taken an oath to support the constitution of the United States.  It's time the residents demand that their elected officials publicly state it is unacceptable for our federal government to ignore the constitution, try to rig the next election and send ICE into our community.

I encourage all members of the town board to reconsider their position of remaining silent.  As Martin Luther King said, “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

If you agree with me, please send a message to the members of the Amherst Town Board, especially if you live in Amherst:
