Action 1: The Senate Must Not Confirm Anti-Vax Influencer, Casey Means as U.S. Surgeon General

Under the leadership of Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the United States is on the verge of un-eliminating measles. Almost 1,000 people have fallen ill in a South Carolina outbreak, the largest in decades – nearly all of them unvaccinated. And MAGA is trying to install yet another antivaxxer at the top of our public health system. In her confirmation hearings, surgeon general nominee Casey Means said she would not encourage parents to vaccinate their kids against measles, the whooping cough or the flu. Scattered Senate Republicans have shown signs of regret for pushing RFK Jr. forward as he’s continually proven our concerns were right. This is their chance to prove they’re serious about it.

I’m reaching out to urge the Senator to oppose Casey Means' appointment to US Surgeon General. Means is an influencer with a lapsed medical license who has promoted dangerous lies about childhood vaccines. She is wholly unfit for the Surgeon General position. Thank you.

Action 2: Tell your Members of Congress not to Accept Donations from Palantir

The tech giant Palantir has secured nearly a billion dolloars in government contracts last year as they expand their crucial role in powering ICE terror. They’re turning some of that money right around to buy more politicians.

Mijente and the Purge Palantir campaign put out a new tool a few weeks ago to shine a spotlight on folks from both parties on the Palantir payroll and organize us to demand they give the surveillance titan the boot. It’s been a success, with Pat Ryan, John Hickenlooper, Jason Crow and Ro Khanna all announcing they are swearing off Palantir cash.

Action 3: Tell Congress to Protect us from Dangerous Department of Transportation Corruption

“In recent months,” ProPublica reports, the Trump regime’s Department of Transportation (DOT) “has scrapped possible limits on subway and bus driver hours meant to keep them from falling asleep at the wheel; delayed a requirement that airplanes be equipped with an extra cockpit barrier to prevent 9/11-style takeovers; nixed a planned mandate for safer motorcycle helmets; proposed exempting school bus child-restraint systems from new crash-protection requirements; and postponed a rule that freight trains transporting hazardous materials carry emergency oxygen masks to protect crews.” ProPublica reports that Trump’s DOT is now run by the very corporate lobbyists and CEOs who bristle at DOT oversight.

The dozens of regulations they are rolling back could cost thousands of deaths and injuries each year. Let’s tell our members of Congress that, regardless of party, their first responsibility is to their constituents, and we demand that they pass legislation to end Trump’s corruption of the DOT and shore up the agency’s mission to protect the public.

A recent ProPublica report outlined a long list of common-sense safety regulations that are being scrapped by Trump's DOT which is now being run by corporate lobbyists and CEOs who will benefit financially from these alarming changes. The report indicates that the rollback of these regulations could result in thousands of injuries and deaths. I expect the Senator/Congressmember to protect their constituents and pass legislation that would end this corruption of the DOT. Thank you.
