Action 1: Urge Congress to uphold the right to refuge.

The Trump administration has announced plans to cap refugee admissions at 7,500 and to limit entrance mostly to white South Africans. The most at-risk refugees around the world, including thousands who have been in the vetting process for months to years could be excluded. Tell your senators and House rep to demand that the administration consult with Congress on the admissions target as required by law in the Refugee Act of 1980. Write your own script or use this one:

I’m deeply concerned about the administration’s plans to cap refugee admissions at 7500 and to limit entrance to white South Africans, while excluding the most at-risk individuals from dozens of other countries. I'm asking the Congressmember to ensure that the administration consults with Congress on the admissions target as required by law and urge them to fully restore the refugee resettlement program for the most deserving refugees around the world. Thank you.
