Action 1: There Are Still Ballots to Cure for Races that Haven't Been Called Yet
From Chop Wood Carry Water 10/26/26
Make calls to cure ballots and ensure that likely Democratic votes will count.
Ballot curing means helping voters fix a minor error (such as a missing signature) that caused their mail or absentee ballot to be rejected. It can be the deciding factor in very close races. VoPro Pros is holding phone banks from now through November 12 to help cure ballots that have been cast by likely Democratic voters in Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, and maybe other states. No experience is needed. VoPro Pros will meet with you on Zoom to provide training, a script, and contact information for targeted voters. Action 2: Bring Isaac Alberto Gallegos Home
From Chop Wood Carry Water 10/13/26
A 19-year-old man, Isaac Alberto Gallegos of Hillsborough, NC, was taken by ICE when he went with his family to a routine immigration appointment in Charlotte, NC. He is currently being held in a detention center in Georgia. Isaac was brought here when he was 10 years old, and his family has an active asylum case. The Daily Tar Heel reports that Gallegos graduated from Orange High School in 2025 and that he was a captain on the Panthers’ varsity soccer team. Isaac has no criminal record, is active in his church, and has been working to support his family since his father was disabled in a serious car accident.
The mayor of Hillsborough, Mark Bell, called for the immediate release of Isaac saying, "His contributions to his family, the community, Orange High School, his church and friends are well known in Hillsborough, and we call upon federal immigration officials to release Isaac without delay."
