Action 1: Win Races! Cure Ballots Through Nov. 12!
From Chop Wood Carry Water 10/26/26
Make calls to cure ballots and ensure that likely Democratic votes will count.
Ballot curing means helping voters fix a minor error (such as a missing signature) that caused their mail or absentee ballot to be rejected. It can be the deciding factor in very close races. VoPro Pros is holding phone banks from now through November 12 to help cure ballots that have been cast by likely Democratic voters in Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, and maybe other states. No experience is needed. VoPro Pros will meet with you on Zoom to provide training, a script, and contact information for targeted voters. Action 2: New York State Residents: Sign a Petition to Evict ICE Headquarters from 250 Delaware Ave.
From Evict ICE from 250 Delaware
Uniland Development, owned by the Montante family, leases the 7th floor of 250 Delaware Avenue to ICE, making it the agency’s regional field office and headquarters for every part of New York State outside New York City. If you have witnessed ICE in your community across NYS, orders came from 250 Delaware Ave.
This regional field office not only strategizes street operations which have increased in WNY in 2026 by 72% compared to last year, it also oversees the Batavia detention center including the recent expansion by 100 beds.
As taxpayers, we’re helping subsidize this operation. The building was constructed with $9.6 million in public tax breaks from the Erie County Industrial Development Agency and continues to receive an annual tax abatement worth nearly $525,000, while the Montante family collects an estimated $2 million of federal tax dollars annually in rent from ICE and Customs and Border Protection.
If you live in anywhere in New York State and want ICE gone, please sign this petition: https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/evict-ice-250-delaware
Learn more about the Evict ICE coalition here, follow their journey at @EvictICE250delaware on Instagram, and join them at 4:30 PM every Tuesday outside 250 Delaware Ave for their weekly protest.
Action 3: The Senate Must NOT Confirm Heidi Overton as FDA Commissioner
From Chop Wood Carry Water 10/27/26
When the U.S. Senate returns in November, the Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP) is planning to vote on Heidi Overton, President Trump’s nominee to serve as Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). At a time when the FDA has launched a politically motivated review into the safe and effective abortion medication mifepristone, Overton — a longtime opponent of reproductive healthcare and abortion rights — is the wrong choice for the job.
Here is some background on Overton’s anti-abortion record:
While at the America First Policy Institute, Overton denounced abortion as “corrosive” to women and called for more controls over the prescribing of abortion pills.
She also celebrated the overturning of Roe v. Wade and referred to the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), legislation that would establish a statutory right to provide and receive abortion care nationwide, as an example of “radicalism” and “extremism.”

Make calls with the PA House Democratic Campaign Committee: https://www.mobilize.us/pahousedemocraticcampaigncommittee/?tag_ids=212
Pennsylvania Democrats are shooting for a trifecta in November by expanding their majority in the state house and taking back the majority in the state senate. This would allow Democrats to redraw congressional maps, raise the state's minimum wage to $15/hr, and legalize marijuana. Shifts are available most days.
Make calls with the Environmental Voter Project: https://www.environmentalvoter.org/get-involved
The Environmental Voter Project is a nonpartisan, nonprofit focused on identifying an estimated 11.2 million environmentalists who did not vote in the 2024 presidential election and efficiently converting them into a critical mass of consistent voters that will soon be too big for politicians to ignore.
